URGENT NOTICE: CLOSURE OF GANE YOHS HEALTH CENTRE BUILDING For Immediate Release: April 23, 2024

OHSWEKEN, ON  Six Nations of the Grand River Elected Council (SNGREC) regrets to inform its staff members and the Six Nations community that the Gane Yohs Health Centre will be temporarily closed as mold has been discovered within the building. The Ohsweken Pharmasave and Six Nations Mental Health are not impacted by the closure. The health and safety of staff members and the Six Nations community are our utmost priority. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, we have decided to close the building until further notice to conduct thorough inspections and remediation efforts. SNGREC and ISC are working diligently to ensure a smooth transition of our clinic space over to White Pines Wellness Centre beginning on Monday April 29, 2024.

This will impact all services at Gane Yohs Health Centre including:

  • Ohsweken Medical Centre
  • Ohsweken Public Health
  • Ohsweken Lab
  • Ohsweken Dental

The following services are planned to re-launch on Monday April 29, 2024 at White Pines Wellness Centre:

  • Gane Yohs Medical Clinic
  • IMRAC Clinic
  • Laboratory Services
  • Public Health
  • Sexual Health Clinic

The Dental Clinic will continue to be closed until further notice until a suitable clinic space can be identified.
