![]() implemented by Dana Martin
![]() who is now currently the
![]() Nurse-In-Charge at the
![]() Ohsweken Public Health
![]() Office. The program has
![]() and is currently run out of
![]() the Gane Yohs Health Centre
![]() -Ohsweken Public Health Office.
![]() The main and primary focus of
the two programs is to educate community members while providing vital health information as it relates to healthy sexuality to both male and female clients of all ages.
 Clinical Health Nurse:
The clinic nurse’s main role is involved with the day to day functions of the clinic. The clinic is Family Practice oriented with Family Physicians from surrounding communities seeing their clients from Six Nations at a convenient location for clients. Appointments with physicians are required. In addition to the daily clinic tasks the clinic nurse is involved in a variety of other areas of health promotion and health teaching. Specific topics are Arthritis and Asthma. The clinic nurse will provide classes or one on one teaching to clients in relation to these topics. Once a month Dr.Adachi (rheumatologist) has an Arthritis clinic held at Gane Yohs. A referral from your Family Doctor is required for an appointment. In the fall we will be having Men’s Wellness Clinics to promote preventative care and annual physicals for men.
